Mobster Slow Pitch Jig, rigged with top and bottom assist hooks, is deadly on all tunas as well as wahoo, kingfish, and many other pelagics. When worked from the bottom all the way to the surface, you can expect explosive bites. If targeting snappers, groupers, amberjacks, and other bottom fish, it’s best to work the jig from right on the bottom up to 20–30 ft off the bottom. Long to medium sweeps of the rod with half turns of the reel will produce the bites you are looking for.
